Employment and Skill Development

New Horizon creates employment opportunities and skill development pathways for newcomers, visible minorities, and disabled people.

Our programs focus on employment and skills training for at-risk youth, including those transitioning out of the correctional system — helping them overcome systemic barriers and build stable, productive futures.

Through hands-on training, supportive employment, and mentorship, we help individuals rebuild their lives, gain confidence, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Entrepreneurship & Small Scale Enterprises

We facilitate entrepreneurship and support small-scale enterprises for visible minorities, helping individuals overcome systemic barriers and build sustainable livelihoods.

New Horizon supports visible minorities in launching and growing small-scale enterprises by providing access to training, shared workspaces, mentorship, and startup support. We create inclusive pathways for individuals to turn their ideas into businesses, contribute to the local economy, and achieve financial independence.

Social Purpose Enterprises

New Horizon Enterprise owns and operates a range of social purpose enterprise businesses that create meaningful employment opportunities for individuals facing significant barriers to success. These barriers may include homelessness, refugee status, low formal education, past involvement with the justice system, or limited work experience.

Our enterprises are designed to be more than just places of work — they are pathways to inclusion, skill development, and long-term stability. Each business provides a supportive environment where individuals can earn income, gain hands-on experience, and rebuild confidence while contributing to their communities.
