New Horizon Real Estate - Social Purpose

New Horizon Real Estate is a social purpose enterprise dedicated to transforming underutilized and abandoned properties into affordable, inclusive, and community-serving spaces. We acquire, renovate, and repurpose residential and commercial properties to provide safe, dignified housing and affordable business spaces for vulnerable populations — including newcomers, low-income families, seniors, and transitional youth.

Our Focus

• Restoring abandoned homes in inner-city neighborhoods to increase affordable housing stock

• Creating transitional housing for youth exiting correctional systems or homelessness

• Developing affordable commercial units for newcomer and minority-owned micro-enterprises

• Revitalizing neglected neighborhoods through community-driven real estate projects

New Horizon -Employment and Skill Development

The New Horizon Employment and Skill Development Program is designed to create pathways to meaningful employment for individuals who face barriers to entering or re-entering the workforce — including newcomers, refugees, youth, low-income individuals, and formerly incarcerated persons.

Our program offers a hands-on, supportive learning environment that combines paid work experience with skills training, mentorship, and wraparound supports. Participants build both the hard and soft skills necessary to succeed in today’s job market — while regaining confidence, routine, and a sense of purpose.

We provide halfway home solutions designed to support youth transitioning out of incarceration. Entrepreneurship Support Services

We empower aspiring entrepreneurs—especially newcomers and individuals facing systemic barriers—by providing hands-on support to help them start and grow small businesses, including navigating permits, business registration, developing business plan, legal setup and providing shared work space, connections and networks.

Cleaning & Maintenance Services

We offer community-based cleaning and maintenance services modeled after successful urban initiatives like the New York City Street Partnership. Our services enhance the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of public spaces, business corridors, and residential areas — while also creating job opportunities for individuals with barriers to employment, including newcomers and youth.

Food and Clothing Support

we believe that meeting basic needs is the first step toward restoring dignity and hope. We provide essential food and clothing support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, poverty, and crisis.
